do you drink tea? if so?

antioxidant benefits
justwannaknow asked:

… which teas (besides green tea) contain antioxidants?

As far as I can tell, most of the ones at the grocery store are nice and flavorful, but few can tote more of a healthy benefit than plain water with minerals (distilled water makes you more thirsty).

I want to drink tea (in addition to green tea) that is good for me (and hopefully tastes yummy). Thank you so much

I’ve heard that white teas contain as much, if not more than green teas.

All teas contain antioxidants. And by “teas” I mean REAL TEA not herbal so-called “teas” like camomille, mint, etc.

Tea contains catechins, a type of antioxidant. In fresh tea leaf, catechins can be up to 30% of the dry weight. Catechins are highest in concentration in white and green teas while black tea has substantially less due to its oxidative preparation.

However all tea contains enough anti-oxidants to be beneficial.

You really can’t go wrong with just drinking tea you enjoy. The difference in types of tea as far as health benefits go is splitting hairs. (yes green tea is probably the best, jasmine tea is also very good) Beyond the benifit of the tea itself, when you drink tea you enjoy it trips your brain’s pleasure response, putting you in a more relaxed mood, which has tremendous benifits. Tea really isn’t much more than flavored water so the benifits are achieved by drinking teas daily over a lifetime.

Try chamomile. But I must admit green & white tea are my favorites! And Chinese apple.

    Try white tea

If you are female please note that tea depleats your iron levels. So if you are anemic you should limit your intake of tea. Just for added info.

White tea is superior to green in the antioxidant department. If it doesn’t have tea as an ingredient, it shouldn’t be called tea, but many herbal infusions bear that title. I like black tea best, but drink green and white for the health benefits.

Oodles of antioxidants are contained in green tea, black tea, even oolong tea.

    Hope this helps

    yes!
Green tea, Red and White teas also these are the best of tea choices.Buy fresh tea avoid the ones in bags if possible. Hay when drinking only spring or distilled water make sure you have proper fluoride intake you must read the labels to see if the fluoride is included in the water of your choice also for the care of your teeth – alright I pray this helps!
