Melody asked: I want to lose a few more pounds and I keep hearing how great green tea is to boost your metabolism and how it’s full of antioxidants. Is it as effective when it’s iced, or do you have to drink it hot?

i really hope so, cause i drink it alot
No. I have heard and read the hotter the tea, the more it realeses the antioxidents. I know its good cold but go with hot.
Yes.
The temp does not change the good stuff!! You can also check the lable it should say all the godo stuff in the tea.
Hot or cold, the benefit from green tea is the same.
of course you can drink it cold!!!!!! just dont sweeten it (or use non-calorie sweeter) because otherwise you will totally not get the weight loss benefits!
it’s only good for you if you brew your own and allow it to chill. Buying the bottled ice teas are really sugary and unhealthy. Try for some nice tips on tea. Good luck!
I believe it can go either way…hot or cold.
just by drinking alot of green tea WILL NOT ‘lose a few more pounds’ yes green tea had all those but you need to take it over a long period to benifit from it, if you drink it once every 5 years it’s not going to help much, i guess it won’t make the difference if you’ll drink it hot or iced, but i prefer it hot
it doesnt matter if you brew your own, hot or cold, you still get the same benefits. where the hell do you ppl come up with some of this stuff? and gaining or losing weight has nothing to do with it. anti oxidents cleanses the blood not your waist size!!!!
tea is a very healthy drink don’t get me wrong. it may boost your metabolism, but it won’t boost it significantly like jogging a mile for example. It’s chock full of antioxidants and may prevent some diseases and other ailments.
the key to getting the benefits is brewing it hot. You can’t really brew it cold because the hot water is required to release the oils and other substances in the tea leaves.
what you can do is brew it hot and put it over ice. you still get the added benefits that way. some people like to brew the tea twice as strong because the ice will dilute it.
