is ADF, alternate day fasting, safe?
mcmegan asked:
in the newest ELLE there is a article on the new diet,
where you eat every other day.
on your “on” days you eat healthy but any food,
on your “off” days you eat 20% of your calories of a normal day.
itt also has health benefits.
like insiline sensitivity and antioxidants and a longer life span.

I have read journals over this and studies proving this can work, but ultimately people consume enough calories on their “on” days they tend to eat more than enough to make up for not eating or w/e it is they’re trying to do. Remember when you read those types of magazines (this is america and people will say/do anything to make money). Everyone’s body is different im sure this is potentially safe for everyone on paper, but your body may go into fat saving mode on those off days causing you to gain weight, best advice is to just simply eat healthy everyday and intake plenty of water per day and you’ll be long term HEALTHY
