Green tea! Decaffeneited too?

antioxidant benefits
Stephanie P asked:

I have been drinking hot green tea (Zen brand) almost every morning for 2 years. For medical reasons, I have to give up my caffeine. The health benefits of Green Tea is undeniable after everything I have read and heard. However, can Lipton DECAF give me just as much benefits (antioxidants, etc.) as the fully loaded stuff? Thanks

Do little health benefits really add up for a VISIBLE or noticable difference?

All the time I hear new things that your body benefits from: Drinking lemon water helps clean out your system, tea has antioxidants, bluberries help fight cancer, etc, etc etc. But do all these things REALLY make a difference? Sure, a lot of things are good for your health, like red wine.

But will adding these things to your lifestyle and diet make a noticable difference? Or are we wasting our time?

chemistry question please help?

Conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) are anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, and antioxidant fatty acids found in beef and dairy products. To receive the benefits of CLA, 3 g are required daily, yet a typical person consumes only 10% of this value. An oil rich in CLA con be obtained by converting the linoleic acid in soy oil into CLA by using a UV photo-irradiation system with an iodine catalyst. A water jacketed reaction vessel maintains the reaction temperature at approximately 25 C. The concentration of linoleic acid in soy oil starts at 1.80 mol/L. For this process, the rate law for the formation of a particularly beneficial CLA is:

rate = 2.85×10-4M^-1hr^-1[linocleic acid]^2

If one performs this process over a 2 day period, and one wants to produce enough CLA for one person for a week, then what volume of soy oil is needed?

Is there a list of teas and their provided health benefit anywhere on the internet?

Cinnamon asked:

I’m looking for a list of teas and their health benefits. For example, peppermint tea for digestion, green tea for its various antioxidant properties, chamomile for relaxing and sleeping, etc.
Right. I tried looking on Google but couldn’t find it. That’s why I’m asking here.
