When your body is detoxing, is it normal to get unpleasant side effects?

A few days ago I started taking grape seed extract for it’s antioxidant effects. Even on the first day I noticed that my skin improved and my face didn’t look tired anymore. However last night after taking 150 mg through the day, I kept waking up from my sleep and I had very bad unexplained pain in my hands, which was gone by morning. Today so far I took 100 mg. This morning I felt great but by afternoon I felt light headed and now I have a headache. I think I will have to take less but anyway I wonder if detoxing can cause these sides effects, or if it could be a bad reaction to the gse.
Also I wonder if there could be a bad reaction between gse and caffeine, because I started feeling light headed and nervous after I’d had two pills and a latte.

Detoxing definitely does cause unpleasant side effects, headaches, sleep disturbances and dizziness being some of them. I don’t know why your hands hurt though, maybe it could’ve been unrelated to the grape seed extract. If the side effects are unbearable, maybe it’d be good to cut down on how much you take and then eventually build it up,
